Although I hate seeing my guy Isaiah Thomas get traded, I can see both sides to this. From a fan perspective, you’re trading away a guy who helped turn the franchise around.
He was truly an embodiment of what being a Celtic is. A true fan favorite who let kids know that there are no obstacles big enough to keep you from achieving your goals. It’s really going to hurt seeing him suit up in a Cavs uniform this season. 
Now from a management perspective I can see why you would make this move. You get a younger guy, more time on his contract, and honestly, I’m not sure how long a guy can dominate the league at 5′ 8″.
Also considering his hip injury, there’s really no telling what Thomas’s longevity is. So even though this trade really hurts, I roll with my Celtics no matter what. Kyrie Irving is now a Celtic, so I’m ready for what this season has in store.
